Flower seeds
Flower seeds offer a wide variety of colours and shapes.
All our flower seeds are annuals. That means that they will flower the same year as you plant them. They grow within one season from a small seed into a mature plant with flowers.
Flower seeds in your own farm
Flower seeds are perfect to fill up your garden. If you have empty spaces, you can plant your favourite flower seeds to make your garden whole. The most flowers give 4 to 5 months long flowers. It sounds contradictory but how more flower you pick, the more flowers will bloom.
You can even enjoy the flowers the next year, because they are self-seeding.
After the flowers have fully bloomed, the plant produces seeds himself. You can take these seeds and plant them yourself or you can let the nature free to see what will happen.
Planting flower seeds
First choose a spot with a lot of sunlight and well-drained soil. They love full sun. Make sure the soil is loose and not too compact. You can do this by using a hoe to loosen the soil. You also want to make sure there are no rocks or debris in the way that could prevent the seed from sprouting.
Plant the flower seeds approximately 0,5 or 2 centimetres deep in the ground (read planting instructions for each variety carefully). Sow them sparingly and in rows. If they are too close, they flower irregularly and in clumps. Then cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil. Water the soil regularly and keep it constantly moist.

Different varieties
Flower seeds have a lot of different varieties. Some flowers are perfect to use as cut flower seeds and some are real bee and butterfly attractors. A couple of our flower seeds are scented and we also sell flower seeds packets. This are flower seeds packets of mixed flower seeds with 5 different seeds. You can filter these varieties on our webshop to find you favourites.
The flowers with an open heart, are real bee and butterfly attractors. The bees can easily get to the stamper of the flowers. Scented flowers are also very popular as bee and butterfly attractors. This is because the insect can smell the flowers and they love the smell of them.
The different varieties fo flower seeds we sell are amaranthus, delphinium, aster, cosmos, zinnia, scabiosa, nigella, phlox and much more!
Combining flower seeds
You can combine the different colours of flower seeds. Choose what colours you like together and you can plant them colour by colour or alternately.
It’s also very beautiful to combine the flowers seeds with our dahlia tubers. The seeds will flower around the same time as the dahlias. Orange dahlias and red dahlias look beautiful in combination with flower seeds. An other great combination is with the cactus dahlia.
To enjoy your garden for a longer time you can plant daffodil bulbs and tulip bulbs already in October of November. The daffodils will then flower in February, March or April and the tulips in April or May. This way you can enjoy different plants from February until September. You plant a lot of different narcissus (daffodils) and tulips. You can plant white narcissus, yellow narcissus, double narcissus, multi headed daffodils and more. We also have a lot of different varieies of tulips. We sell double tulips, peony tulips, parrot tulips, fringed tulips, red tulips, orange tulips and many more different colours.
